Event Tickets With Ticket Scanner Update – 20231114

I am focusing now on speed. To speed up the solution and the ticket scanner. The first step is done and the scan&redeem option is now much faster. Also the layout changed to have more information about the operation and ticket.

Lookout:

1. There will be a big change with the upcoming versions for the way how dates are stored. This is to prevent issues with time zones. Unfortunately this will be again a bigger operation. I need to change a lot of code and the table in the database.
2. Idea – not yet 100% for sure. Ticket Scanner cache – to speed up the scanning and redeem operation. The idea is to have the not redeemed tickets in the browser cache and sync them later. But this is also dangerous for double spending.

Changes:

• New default sorting on created date for tickets in the admin
• Buttons removed from the template code for the ticket designer – if you leave your existinge template code, then the buttons will be rendered twice
• New default value for option wcTicketTransTicketNotValidToEarly – Now it is „Event did not started yet“, old value was „Ticket is not valid yet“
• Fix for multiple variant products PDF Allinone PDF generation – all variants are added to the PDF ticket
• Small rearrangement on the ticket scanner
• Scan & redeem immediately operation display the ticket details too
• Speed up scan & redeem immediately needs now only one server call
