= 2.9.9 – 2026-03-23 =
- Improvement: License check resilience — brief server outages no longer disable premium features; raised failure threshold from 5 to 10, extended staleness window from 10 to 21 days, and server errors (5xx, empty body) now count as transient failures instead of genuine rejections
- Fix: “Check License” button now resets failure counter before server check — previously, accumulated failures from a server outage could prevent recovery even after the server was back online
- Improvement: Modern admin UI redesign — card-based layout with consistent spacing, branded purple accent color, professional footer grid, improved DataTable styling, smooth loading animations, and responsive design
- New: Plugin header now includes Requires at least, Tested up to, and Requires PHP — displayed in support info area for easier troubleshooting
- Fix: Corrected 10 English typos in source strings that caused translation mismatches (e.g. successfull, duplicat, choosen)
- Fix: No more flash of unstyled content when loading admin page
- Improvement: Regenerated all German backend translations — from 162 to 451 strings (full coverage)
- New: FOMO banner for expired premium subscriptions — shows new features released since expiration with dismissible 30-day reminder
- Fix: Added missing License header to plugin file to satisfy WordPress.org plugin check
= PREMIUM 1.6.3 – 2026-03-23 =
- New: WordPress 6.5+ plugin dependency — requires basic plugin to be installed before activation (Requires Plugins header)
- Fix: Use include_once for db.php and add class_exists guard to prevent “Cannot redeclare class” fatal error when file is loaded via different paths
- New: Send module identifier with update checker for cross-plugin tracking
- Fix: Correct Plugin URI, Author URI and renew URLs to point to actual product page
- Improvement: Modern admin UI — card-based layout, badge styles for status indicators, consistent with basic plugin redesign
- Fix: Repaired 3 broken _x() translation calls — missing text domain prevented German translations from loading
Want to be listed as an implementation partner?
We want to add a page dedicated to implementation partner and WordPress developer/designer. You can get listed on this page, if you like. It is free and we will forward users that need help with implementing special behavior to this page. So you can get new customers and support the plugin 🙂
Please send an email to [email protected]. We need your name/company name, website, what you are (developer, designer, etc), with what you can help regarding the plugins (serial and/or event) – the idea is that people with issues, like designing a ticket template with twig or so, can get help from you. If you have default prices (hour, project or so) then we can add them also to the page. I will have to evaluate a bit, so that the quality can be checked. We cannot ensure your listing, if it does not match with the needs of our customer and the relevance to my plugins.
In case you want to revert your basic plugin version:
You can download the old basic plugin from the advance tab on the plugin website. Install it manually via the plugin area.
https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/event-tickets-with-ticket-scanner/tags
Download the version you like and rename the folder to event-tickets-with-ticket-scanner.
Then zip the folder.
Upload the zip file to your WordPress installation using the plugin area.
